  • Laab is a Laotian dish consisting either turkey mince or pork mince, which is stir fried with lots of lemongrass, garlic and chilli.
  • It is seasoned with soy sauce, fish sauce and lime juice, which makes this dish super fresh. We finish ours with mint and coriander and serve it with rice.

What to Serve with Turkey Laab:

  • Delicious on it’s own, garnish with some freshly sliced spring onion and squeeze over some lime​.
  • Serve with some sticky Teriyaki chicken wings.
  • Perfect as part of a Pan Asian feast for a gathering.
  • As an alternative, serve the turkey laab in lettuce cups with some sliced cucumber and finely sliced spring onion and top with a few more toasted sesame seeds.

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example some of our curry pastes, which contain Citric Acid).

Cooked Rice (44%), Turkey (31%), Crispy Onions (5%) (Onions, Vegetable Oil (Palm Oil), Wheat Flour, Salt), Spring Onions, Thai Fish Sauce (Anchovy Extract Fish, Salt, Sugar, Water), Lime Juice (3%), Sesame Seeds (3%), Demerara Sugar, Coriander, Tamari Soy Sauce (Whole Soybean, Water, Sea Salt , Alcohol, Koji Spores), Sesame Oil, Cornflour, Water, Chilli Flakes, Spearmint. Made in our kitchen in Kent, using ingredients of varied origin.

Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Serves 1

Microwave:

Remove sleeve & pierce film. Place on a microwaveable plate and cook on full power.

2 mins > stir & re-cover > 1 min
Stir well and ensure this food is piping hot before serving.

Oven:

Preheat oven. Remove sleeve & pierce film. Place on a baking tray and cook in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
30 mins
Stir well and allow to stand for 1 min before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the microwave guidelines but cook for 1 min stir 1 min.

Extra Warnings:

Steam may be released when removing film lid. Although every care has been taken to remove all bones, some may remain.
