There’s a new Dish of the Dale on taster for the next fortnight at your local COOK: the magnificent Chicken Dijon.
One of our great all-rounders, this is as happy working its magic as a dinner party main, with duchess potatoes and steamed greens, as it is slumming on top of an oven-cooked baked potato.

Every so often, someone from the COOK team will hold a lunchtime workshop at our Kitchen. Yesterday it was Rosie and SJ, our Development Chefs, who shared some healthy recipes. They were such a hit, we thought you might like to see them…
Community Kitchen - Milestone Passed!
Posted on 26 January 2017
We officially launched the Community Kitchen towards the end of 2015, but really it’s a broad scheme that includes things we’d been doing for some time, like donating leftovers to a nearby drop-in centre for the vulnerable, paid volunteering days for our staff, and responding to those requests that come in every now and then to help out someone in need. Before 2016 becomes a distant memory, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our customers who supported us over the year. It ended on a real high, with more people than ever choosing COOK for their Christmas Lunch. Bringing good people together over good food is at the heart of what we do, so that gives us a lovely warm fuzzy feeling inside … which is lucky, as January looks set to be a really cold one.
