For pre-dinner nibbles, our favourites are little bowls of olives, some Moroccan Spice Chickpea Crispbreads to dip in a homemade Baba Ganoush … which, honestly, is a lot easier to make than it is to spell! Our co-founder Dale will walk you through it:
Right, dinner time! Start by choose your cornerstone dishes: a section of mains, so people can mix and match. A tagine is a great starting point: we have Lamb, Beef and a tasty vegetarian option of Vegetable & Chickpea. Then you can add some chicken, like the Harissa Chicken, Lemon Chicken (with whole chicken breasts than can be cut into slices once cooked) or, for the calorie conscious, a few of our Moroccan-Spiced Chicken Pots for One.
Then you’ll need something to soak up all those lovely flavours. The traditional choice is Minted Couscous, but you can keep it gluten-free with some Plain Basmati Rice. And flatbreads are essential. If you want to make them at home, here’s how:
Last but not least, add some little extras in bowls to sprinkle on top of your dishes or serve alongside: pomegranate seeds for bursts of freshness, some fresh mint, natural yoghurt, preserved lemons, pickled chillis, and toasted almonds are all classic additions.
