Birthdays, Failing Eyesight and Great British Pies
Posted on 3 January 2012
2012, another big year in prospect. March will see us celebrate our 15th birthday. It’s nice to think of ourselves as awkward teenagers despite our expanding girths, receding hairlines and failing eyesight (see pic). We will, of course, try and include everyone in the teenage festivities.
We will also be celebrating all things British throughout the year. Our glasses are always half full so, despite the prevailing mood of gloom, we believe there is much for us Brits to be cheerful about: the Diamond Jubilee, the Olympics and the fact we buy stuff with pounds not euros…
We’re going to be celebrating some of our favourite Great British recipes and doing lots of other fun, foodie and frivolous stuff that we can somehow shoehorn into a Great British theme.
First up is the reinvention of our Great British Pie recipes, arriving in store in mid-January – just as cold, dark days are starting to get you down.
Happy New Year!
