  • Our Madras is a little less spicy than the traditional version.
  • Broadly speaking, people don’t eat beef in India. Although this style of curry originates in Southern India, the Madras – and particularly the beef version – is a British take on a traditional dish.

Try it with:

  • Pair it with Plain Naan or rice. 
  • You can also add in some delicious samosas.
  • Or you can pair it with some homemade cooling raita - an Indian yogurt salad.

Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Serves 1

Oven:

Preheat oven. Remove sleeve and pierce film lid. Place on a baking tray and cook in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.
35-40 mins
Allow to stand for 2 mins, stir well before serving. Ensure piping hot.

Microwave:

Remove sleeve & pierce film. Place on a microwaveable plate. Cook on full power.

3 mins > stir gently & re-cover > 3 mins 30 secs
Stir well and allow to stand for 2 mins. Ensure this food is piping hot before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the oven guidelines but cook for 15-20 mins.

Extra Warnings:

Steam may be released when removing lid.
