How to make Mulled Cider

Posted on 19 December 2012

What could be better on cold winter evenings than a hot, spiced glass of mulled cider? At COOK we’ve been filled with festive tips recently (to tell you truth we just can’t contain our excitement in anticipation of the big day), but this little video about how to make Mulled Cider might just be our favourite tip.

Our Gourmet Mulling Syrup makes an amazing mulled wine, but it also makes a delicious mulled cider. Mulled drinks have a long history with recipes going back to the 17th century, but mulled cider seems to have had a boom in popularity this year, and we’re more than happy to follow the trend.

All you’ll need is a little mulling syrup, a lot of cider, some orange zest and orange segments, cloves and generous amounts of brown sugar to taste.

If you don’t believe that something so yummy could be so easy to make just watch the video above and we’ll show you. Remember Mulled Cider is not just for Christmas, it’s one winter warmer you shouldn’t need an excuse to enjoy!
