Tell Me More
- Our bestselling dish - find out for yourself why this is no ordinary Macaroni Cheese!
- We use two types of Cheddar in the macaroni cheese sauce, vintage and mature, from Barber's, a family business based in Somerset who still make Cheddar the traditional way.
- Simply cook from frozen in the oven or microwave and you’ve got yourself the perfect easy mid-week treat.
Try it with:
- Roasted vine-ripened tomatoes with fresh rosemary are the most delicious side dish to have with mac cheese – there’s a video on this page to show you how. The tomatoes can go in the oven at the same time as the macaroni cheese so you’re making the most of the oven being on.
- Veggie it up by mixing in some steamed broccoli, cauliflower, butternut squash, leeks or peas - check out our range of side dishes for inspiration.
- If you're in need of a classic side, you could add a garlic ciabatta.
How We Make It At Our Kitchen
- Funnily enough, Macaroni Cheese that cooked perfectly from frozen was probably the hardest dish for us to learn to make
- The macaroni is boiled briefly, so it's very al dente; then we make a classic cheese sauce that's almost single-cream thin
- When it's cooked at home, the pasta absorbs the sauce and, hey presto, perfect macaroni and a lovely thick, cheesy sauce
