  • Brandy, sherry and white wine all go into the sauce (don’t worry, the alcohol is cooked off).
  • Its signature taste come from gherkins and paprika – essentials for a tasty Beef Stroganoff.

Try it with:

  • Keep the sides simple with some rice, chopped parsley on top and a dollop of sour cream on the side.
  • For the unorthodox, try stirring our Beef Stroganoff through pappardelle and top with sour cream, fresh parsley and a shake of paprika.

How We Make It At Our Kitchen

  • We braise strips of British silverside beef in stock, paprika, white wine and sherry for a good three hours
  • When the sauce is ready, we add chopped tomatoes, tomato purée and cream. Then it’s time for a good glug of brandy (in the dish, that is, not the chef). In go mushrooms, which have been roasted with thyme
  • Finally we rinse the vinegar off some gherkins, chop them up, and mix them into the sauce

Cooking/Serving Instructions

Preheat oven. Remove sleeve, pierce film. Cook on a baking tray in the centre of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.

Allow to rest for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Microwave:

Remove sleeve, pierce film. Place on a microwaveable plate. Cook on full power.

Allow to rest for 1 mins and stir well before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the cooking guidelines and cook for 20 mins.

Extra Warnings:

Steam may be released when removing film lid.
