B Corp UK Retreat

Last week the B Corp community got together in Battle, East Sussex. We’re very proud to be a founding member of this important movement in Britain that believes that business can be a force for good in society. When we joined, there were just five of us; now there are 140 in the UK alone!

We were joined by companies including JoJo Maman Bébé, Ella’s Kitchen, Ben and Jerry’s, Ecover, Divine Chocolate and One Drinks, who provide the bottled water in COOK shops as well as a rather magnificent gin that was sampled at the retreat! Discussions over the two days included sustainable development and being a responsible employer. We also took 20 people on a tour of the local COOK Battle shop, where the staff gave everyone a warm welcome and handed out canapés and glasses of bubbly.
