Oven:

Preheat your oven to 170°C. Carefully remove the chicken from the box and the wrapping and place on a baking tray (make sure it has sides, so the cooking juices don’t just run off). Place the chicken in the centre of the oven. After 50 mins, remove from the oven, turn up the heat to 180°C, and baste the chicken all over with the piri piri juices. Put it back in for the remaining 35 mins.

Oven Settings

When the oven timer pings, check it is thoroughly cooked by piercing around the thigh - the juices should run clear. Loosely cover the chicken with foil and rest for 10 mins before serving.

To cook from defrost remove the chicken from all the packaging and place on a baking tray to defrost (make sure it has sides, so the cooking juices don’t run off) for 48 hours in the fridge.
