We wanted to create this Linguine Carbonara (with its deliciously creamy pasta sauce) because it's a huge family favourite and yet for some reason it's also one of those recipes where more often than not... you just can't be bothered.  

We've done all the hardwork for you here, so you can enjoy some time out with the family instead of being stuck in the kitchen. We pan fry the bacon and mix through a little parsley to give it some extra flavour. We marinate the mushrooms with olive oil, garlic and salt and then oven roast until they're scrumptious. Then we pull together the ingredients in such a way as to leave the pasta al dente so that when you cook it at home (in minutes in the mircowave!) it's simply spot on.

Serve with garlic Ciabatta and a green rocket salad.
