How we make it

Egg is scrambled with sesame oil to give the 'fried' flavour, and then mixed through basmati rice along with spring onions to create a dish that is far healthier than your standard takeaway egg fried rice. We also add a delicate sauce of garlic, light soy sauce, and sherry for extra flavour.

Ingredients

AT COOK WE USE THE SAME INGREDIENTS YOU WOULD USE AT HOME.

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example some of our curry pastes, which contain Citric Acid).

Cooked Basmati Rice (73%), Free Range Pasteurised Whole Egg (8%), Spring Onions (6%), Free Range Pasteurised Egg Yolk (4%), Light Soy Sauce (3%) [Wheat Gluten, Soya], Demerara Sugar, Dry Sherry [Sulphites], Rapeseed Oil, Garlic, Sesame Oil [Soya].

Light Soy Sauce contains: Water, Soybeans, Salt, Wheat Flour, Preservative: Potassium Sorbate. Sesame Oil contains: Soya Oil, Sesame Oil. Made in our kitchen in Kent, using ingredients of varied origin.

Cooking/Serving Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a personality of its own (or a different power rating). Please adjust accordingly.

Microwave:

Remove sleeve, pierce film lid. Cook on full power.

2 mins > stir & re-cover > 1 min
Allow to stand for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Oven:

Preheat oven. Pierce film lid, place on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
20-25 mins
Allow to stand for 1 min and stir well before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the microwave guidelines but cook for 1 min, stir, 30 secs.

Extra Warnings:

Steam may be released when removing film lid.

Allow to stand for 2 mins and stir well before serving.

Preheat oven. Pierce film lid, place on a baking tray and cook on the middle shelf.

Oven Settings

Fan 180°C, Electric 200°C, Gas Mark 6.
25-30 mins
Allow to stand for 2 mins and stir well before serving.

Defrost Instructions:

Should this product defrost, keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the microwave guidelines but cook for 2 mins, stir, 1 min.
