Tell Me More
- All prepared at our Kitchen in Kent … even the pastry is made from scratch.
- We use a higher-welfare chorizo made with pork from Dingley Dell, an RSPCA Ambassador Farm.
- A traditional, roux-based sauce.
Try it With:
- Our Creamy Mash – you can’t go wrong with pie and mash!
- For some greens, try adding our lovely Peas & Leeks.
- Add some garlic green beans: boil or steam until nearly done, then sauté with crushed garlic, butter, and some seasoning. Delicious!
How We Make It At Our Kitchen
- We sweat onions, garlic & leeks in butter until very soft, and stir in some flour to make a roux, then slowly add Kentish cider, double cream and chicken stock to make a thick sauce.
- The chorizo is fried until crispy and stirred through with pieces of chicken breast and a sprinkling of tarragon.
- Our individual pies are fully encased in our own crumbly shortcrust pastry, made by hand from a traditional recipe.
