How We Make It At Our Kitchen
- The shortcrust pastry is made by hand in our Kitchen’s own Pastry Room
- The base of the pastry case is spread with a rich leek puree, sprinkled with fried streaky bacon, then topped with a mixture of free-range egg, double cream and mascarpone
- Finally it’s garnished with cubes of soft Brie and sprinkled with parsley

We never put additives or preservatives into our food. We do occasionally use kitchen cupboard ingredients that include some additives in their sub-ingredients (for example some of our curry pastes, which contain Citric Acid).
Shortcrust Pastry (35%) [Wheat Gluten, Milk, Egg], Double Cream [Milk], Free-Range Pasteurised Egg Yolk (10%), Free-Range Pasteurised Whole Egg (10%), Brie (6%) [Milk], Leeks (5%), Mascarpone (5%) [Milk], Streaky Bacon (4%), Cheddar Cheese [Milk], Onions, English Mustard [Wheat Gluten], Butter [Milk], Parsley, Rapeseed Oil, Garlic, Thyme, Salt, White Pepper.
Shortcrust Pastry contains: Plain Flour, Butter, Free-Range Pasteurised Egg Yolk, Water, Lemon Juice, Salt. Plain Flour contains: Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate (E170), Iron, Nicotinamide (Vit B3), Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vit B1). Streaky Bacon contains: Pork, Salt, Water, Preservatives (Sodium Nitrite, Potassium Nitrate), Antioxidant (Sodium Ascorbate). Mascarpone contains: Milk Cream, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid. English Mustard contains: Water, Mustard Flour, Sugar, Salt, Wheatflour, Turmeric, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid, Stabiliser (Xanthan Gum).
