Tell Me More
This meals will feed a family of four; three adults; six smaller kids for a playdate; a couple of teenagers with the munchies; or a very hungry caterpillar (just after one nice, green leaf).
It looks and taste homemade and because it can be cooked from frozen it comes straight out of the freezer, into the oven, and supper’s done.
How We Make It
Sausage & Leek Casserole
The rich gravy is made by sweating onions then simmering chicken stock, apple juice, wholegrain mustard, chopped parsley and a dash of double cream. To this we add sliced apple & leek sausages made by Speldhurst, which are roasted to a deep golden brown. The sweet-cured streaky bacon is fried until crispy, then the leeks and Bramley apple pieces are added and cooked until just softened. The potatoes are gently simmered until tender then added to the top of the casserole.
This casserole is almost a meal in one, just add a few garden peas on the side and tuck in.
